From early July to September, the Cape Elizabeth Garden Club holds a bulb sale to provide funds for a $1000 scholarship awarded to a Cape Elizabeth High School senior intending to pursue a degree in a field related to horticulture or the environment. The club participates in civic beautification projects, such as renovating and maintaining the plantings by the Joan Benoit statue at Thomas Memorial Library and placing holiday wreaths at the Spurwink Meeting House. The club annually donates to the Cape Elizabeth Land Trust and the Friends of Fort Williams.
